The COSWHEEL GT20 Max features a brushless rear hub motor with 1500W nominal power (2000W peak) on a 60V system. Its 120 Nm of torque allows it to tackle the steepest climbs with ease.
In real-world conditions, range depends on:
The GT20 Max is generously equipped:
✔ Dual removable Samsung batteries for record 233 km range
✔ 1500W nominal motor with 120 Nm torque for any gradient
✔ High-quality full suspension front and rear
✔ Dual-piston hydraulic brakes equal to the bike’s performance
✔ 150 kg maximum load capacity, ideal for larger riders or cargo
✔ Reliable and well-known Shimano 7-speed transmission
✔ Distinctive, refined motorcycle-inspired styling
✔ Powerful lighting for night riding
❌ Significant weight (≥ 45 kg), making manual transport difficult
❌ High price (€2299), suited to larger budgets
❌ Bulky size, poorly suited to small storage spaces
❌ Ambiguity regarding European road legality (see below)
The COSWHEEL GT20 Max sits above the GT20 and GT20 Pro in the Coswheel range thanks to its dual battery, more powerful motor and full suspension. Against competitors such as Lankeleisi or equivalent all-terrain fat bikes, it excels with its exceptional range and high-quality braking system.
Important note on homologation: Coswheel states that the speed is limited to 25 km/h at the factory and that the motor can be displayed as 250W to comply with European regulations. However, the actual nominal power is 1500W and the bike is designed to be derestricted. This configuration — high nominal power, unlockable speed, optional 250W display — is common practice among certain brands but does not in itself guarantee valid road homologation in Europe. The lack of a clearly identified officially homologated version at the time of purchase is a point of caution. If you wish to ride legally on public roads in France or Europe, consult the relevant authorities before buying.
